Taboos must be ‘broken’ to tackle prostate cancer

For the first time, prostate cancer has overtaken breast cancer to become the third biggest cancer killer in the UK. The chief executive of Prostate Cancer UK, Angela Culhane says conversations must be had and taboos need to be broken in order to tackle the illness. The charity estimates that it needs to fund around £120million of research over the next eight years to reverse the trend and achieve its ten-year goal to halve the number of expected prostate cancer deaths by 2026.
