A wallaby suffering hypothermia was rescued from floodwaters near Darwin, Northern Territory, on Monday, January 29.
Kathleen Nettlefold spotted the young wallaby, with only its head above water, while driving to Adelaide River Bridge, NT News reported. Nettlefold, who is listed on Facebook as a zookeeper at Darwin’s Crocodylus Park, told Storyful she took the animal to a vet, where it was treated for hypothermia.
