An injured seal pup that was taken in for rehabilitation by the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport, Oregon, was released back in to the wild on January 24.
In a video posted to the aquarium’s Facebook, the young northern fur seal is released from a cage on the beach and makes his way back in to the ocean. The seal was found in an RV parking lot, entangled in a plastic string that aquarium officials believe likely came from a balloon or packaging material. As of writing, the video had over 23,000 views on Facebook. Credit: Oregon Coast Aquarium via Storyful
