07 Healthy Foods, Fruits & Vegetables for the Eyes.
Hi! i am Jeanie. If you want to keep your Eyes, healthy, attractive & top shape. then, you have to increase antioxidant intake, nutritious & vitamins rich foods. Increase Vitamin 'E' in your diet, to prevent and delay the growth of Cataracts. Here are suggested foods, to improve sight, and to reduce the risk of Eyes disease.
#1. Carrot.
Surely, the best food for healthy eyes is carrot, a disease fighting vitamin A. It also reduces the risk of cataracts, and macular degeneration (Eye Disease). Like carrots, other orange foods, such as sweet potatoes, mangos, cantaloupe, and apricots provide healthy doses of vitamin A.
#2. Milk.
Milk is a good source of riboflavin, helps to reduce the risk of your Cataracts. It is rich with vitamin A, a leading performer among eye health vitamins. Drink low fat milk, it prevents plaque buildup in the eyes' blood vessels. Cheese, eggs, and liver are other good animal sources of vitamin A, good for eyes.
#3. Lean Beef.
it is rich with mineral zinc, helping body to fight against diseases. Studies have found a relationship between zinc intake, and eye health, particularly retina health. Add zinc in your diet by choosing cheese, yogurt, pork, turkey, and cereals.
#4. Salmon (Fish meat).
Salmon, a treasure of omega-3 plays a key role for retina health. it helps to reduce the risk of macular degeneration. Eating of fatty fish such as salmon trout, mackerel, sardines, herring and wild salmon, rich sources of niacin, which helps to reduce risks of cataracts.
#5. Almonds.
Almonds, like other nuts and seeds, are generally good for eye health. Almonds contain vitamin E. Consuming regular amounts of vitamin E can help to prevent age-related macular degeneration as well as cataracts.
#6. Berries.
Studies have found, that antioxidants in berries reduce the risk of cataracts, macular degeneration and eye diseaes. berries also plays an important role in decreasing cancer risks & heart diseases.
#7. Kale.
Kale is a rich source of lutein and zeaxanthin, also present in leafy green veg, like spinach, Swiss chard, collards, reducing the risk of macular degeneration. The antioxidants in these foods act as natural sunglasses to defend the eyes from ultraviolet radiation as well as protect cells from being damaged.
