Giant panda twins Ya Lun and Xi Lun took full advantage of wintry weather that closed Zoo Atlanta on January 19, rolling around in the fresh, fluffy white snow together.
Zoo Atlanta closed its doors for several days as a system of winter weather and cold temperatures moved through the Atlanta, Georgia, region. According to a post to the zoo’s Facebook page, while the wintry conditions meant more indoor time for most of the zoo’s animals, giant pandas are actually suited for colder weather.
The pair are the only giant panda twins in the United States, according to a zoo representative, and celebrated their first birthday in September 2017. Credit: Facebook/Zoo Atlanta via Storyful
