The Uttar Pradesh Police has busted the biggest haul of old notes in Kanpur on Wednesday. Over Rs 96 crores in a demonetised currency of Rs 500 and Rs, 1000 notes have been recovered from residential premises in Kanpur. Anand Kumar, Uttar Pradesh ADG (Law & order) said at least 16 people have been arrested till now in connection with the case. The counting of currency notes is underway and questioning is on.
