Early Saturday morning, the blizzard moved into some of the nation’s largest cities, with gale-force winds spewing snow into Washington DC, Philadelphia, Baltimore and New York City. more than 8,000 flights into, out of, and within the U.S. because of the East Coast blizzard causing record snowfall and serious coastal flooding. On Friday, airlines canceled 3,100 flights, with another 4,256 canceled on Saturday morning. Cancelations for Sunday have already topped 1,200.
