Greensboro is Richard Lide's first stomping ground, where he was born and raised. Richard Lide grew up in the Piedmont, an ancient plateau along the Eastern seaboard of the United States which is made up of low, rolling hills from 200 to 1000 feet above sea level. The Piedmont is what is left of multiple ancient mountain chains which have eroded away, leaving a fill of sediments from the higher ground around where mountains used to stand.
