President Trump slammed former President Obama on Tuesday amid Iran protests.

Amid widespread anti-government protests in Iran over economic grievances, President Trump on Tuesday slammed former President Barack Obama for "foolishly" giving money to the nation.
"The people of Iran are finally acting against the brutal and corrupt Iranian regime," Trump wrote on Twitter. "All of the money that President Obama so foolishly gave them went into terrorism and into their 'pockets.' The people have little food, big inflation and no human rights. The U.S. is watching!"
According to USA Today, "Trump has long attacked the Obama-era agreement in which the U.S. and allies reduced economic sanctions on Iran as its government gave up the means to make nuclear weapons."
Trump's Tuesday tweet on Iran was one of many he has posted in the past several days.
"Iran is failing at every level despite the terrible deal made with them by the Obama Administration. The great Iranian people have been repressed for many years. They are hungry for food & for freedom. Along with human rights, the wealth of Iran is being looted. TIME FOR CHANGE!" Trump tweeted on Monday.
The protests started last Thursday.
"Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei blamed Iran's 'enemies' on Tuesday for stirring up unrest in the country, as the death toll from days of anti-government protests climbed to 21," CNN reported.
During his presidency, Trump has taken an aggressive stance toward Iran. Back in October, the president announced his decision to refrain from recertifying the Iran nuclear-deal compliance.
"Iran is under the control of a fanatical regime that seized power in 1979 and forced a proud people to submit to its extremist rule," Trump said during the announcement. "This radical regime has raided the wealth of one of the world's oldest and most vibrant nations, and spread death, destruction, and chaos all around the globe."
"We stand in total solidarity with the Iranian regime's longest-suffering victims: its own people," Trump added.
