A tropical storm brought deadly flooding and landslides to the southern Philippines on Friday, December 22.
Dozens of people died after Tropical Storm Vinta (known internationally as Tembin) slammed into the southern Philippines island of Mindanao, with local reports putting the number at at least 100, according to Rappler.com. Vinta was forecast to track west across the Sulu Sea and cross Palawan Island through Saturday.
