An inaugural passenger train - intended to be a faster trip - was derailed in Washington state, leaving at least six dead and 77 injured, officials said.
The wagons of the Amtrak company derailed and descended on a highway as it passed a bridge and hung.
The train also hit cars that passed a highway, without making fatalities.
Emergency services were immediately sent to the scene of the accident, near the town of Tacoma, in the southern state.
