A woman was kicked out of Starbucks by the police after a racist rant against two students - telling them ‘’I don’t want to hear your language’'.

The middle-aged woman was sat on a table next to student Annie An and her tutor Sean Lee when she allegedly told them ‘’this is America, use English only’’. Annie, a global studies student who speaks fluent English, then said the woman called her language ‘’disgusting’’ before a waiter arrived to calm the situation at the Starbucks in Walnut Creek, California.

Annie films the woman saying ‘’especially Oriental, I hate it’’ before being told that they are allowed to speak their language. The woman claims ex-president Barack Obama said ‘’everybody in America should speak English’’ as the barrister tells her to ''feel free, please leave’’. The woman angrily replies: ‘’I don’t want to hear the language. If you can sit and be quiet, fine, but I don't want to hear your language. I don’t want to hear it.’' Staff told the woman, who has not been named, to leave then called police who escorted her out of the building.

Annie, who is from Seoul, South Korea, said afterwards: 'This was the most unexpected and unbelievable day for me this entire 2017. And I was even more surprised that the woman didn’t stop complaining about my language even when police officers were here.''

The tutor, Sean Lee, added: ''This was actually my very first time interacting with someone like this, and that’s why I was even more surprised. You see it on the news but I didn't think it would happen to me.''
