Everyone knows Alex Honnold for his big, bold free solos in Yosemite and around the world. But what does an average day look like for this rock (climbing) star? Well, it starts early and ends early in the back of a van.

Day in the Life caught up with Honnold who is still dirtbaggin' out of his van near Bishop, California, not too far from where he grew up, presumably in a house, not a van. His morning is dedicated to checking out the late John Bachar's free solo circuit in Owens River Gorge and repeating many of the routes. Don't miss him sanding down the calluses on his fingertips to keep them climb-ready. After all this excitement it's straight to Bishop to meet up with Matt Segal and a few other friends to climb in the Buttermilks.
