ANTIMATADOR, an 8 man band from the South West UK, fuse cerebral vocals, tricksy horn licks, huge synths and earthy rhythms. They are a multi genre highly skilled outfit with NEW, ORIGINAL music spanning hip-hop, funk, jazz, electronica, soul, rock and DnB.

The band launched in January 2014, formed from a group of professional session musicians with a long history of working together in high profile projects and with thousands of live shows under their belts.

Raised on a rich diet of jazz, funk, soul, hip-hop and electronica from bands such as Rudimental, Snarky Puppy and Break Science, ANTIMATADOR are crafting a unique sound all their own that demands attention. Since the bands formation they have written and recorded their debut album ‘Find Your Way’ (working title) due for release in 2016. The preview self titled single has created a huge buzz so far with James Santer of BBC introducing Devon describing it as ‘a banger of a tune’ and the band as ‘breathtaking’. The tune had its first BBC Radio 1 Introducing airplay in July 2015.

Members of ANTIMADATOR have worked with artists such as Joss stone, Beverly Knight, Sandy Shaw, Martha Reeves, Madness, We Are the Ocean, Otis Redding Jr, Tim Burgess, Hot Chip, The Haggis Horns (Mark Ronson/Jamiroquai) and the Electric Swing Circus to name but a few.

Notable shows to date have been Boardmasters, Electric Beach, Looe Music and Kendal Calling Festivals, MTV Crashes Plymouth, live sessions for Balcony TV, also Passing Clouds and Hootenanny’s in London, and have become a absolute must see favorite of the festival and gig going crowd with their high energy, infectious positive vibes, ridiculously proficient musicianship, beautifully crafted originals and crowd interaction.
