Harvey Weinstein can take some comfort in the fact that he will probably not face charges over raping allegations.
That’s right, the media mogul was being investigated for raping Paz de la Huerta on two occasions in 2010… but sources tell TMZ that a prosecution is highly unlikely.
According to the website, there are many problems with the case… not only memory of the incidents, but the fact that the case is seven years old, plus the actress interacted with Weinstein between the alleged assaults creates problems.
Paz, who is known for her work on Boardwalk Empire, reported the incidents to authorities on October 25… then later described the alleged assaults to Vanity Fair magazine in November.
Weinstein has of course denied the allegations but continues to fight to restore his now very tarnished image.
It’s unclear if he will ever work in the film business again.
