After an active early morning, on a day when volunteers were due at the Sleepy Burrows Wombat Sanctuary in Gundaroo, New South Wales, Cleopatra the wombat decided to take a full-length crash-out next to a dunny.
Despite Cleopatra’s apparent state of deep sleep, sanctuary staff had to roust the 33kg creature to make way for volunteers needing to take bathroom breaks as they helped lay concrete at the sanctuary’s second wombat primary school. Credit: Sleepy Burrows Wombat Sanctuary via Storyful
