On Wednesday, GOP senator Marco Rubio of Florida and Mike Lee of Utah introduced an amendment to the Republican tax reform bill that would make the child tax credit more generous. However, it would also cut the corporate tax rate to only 22% instead of the 20% currently proposed in the bill. The including of the amendment will be tough to pass as Donald Trump has said the 20% corporate rate is his one red line for the bill.
