South Korea’s Ministry of National Defense said it launched three missiles in a “precision strike” test on November 29 in response to the North Korean missile launch, according to a Facebook post and a report from Yonhap News.

South Korea said it fired a ship-to-surface Haesung-2 missile, a Hyunmoo-2 ballistic missile, and one Spice-2000 missile, all of which “simultaneously hit the target point where the enemy provocation origin was assumed,” near the Northern Limit Line in the Sea of Japan, according to the Ministry of National Defense’s Facebook post and news reports.

The launch was ordered to demonstrate South Korea’s readiness to hit “precision” targets at any time and in any place, Yonhap News reported. Credit: Ministry of National Defense South Korea via Storyful
