Sri Lankan pacer Dasun Shanaka has been fined 75 per cent of his match fee for "changing the condition of the ball" on Day 2 of the ongoing second Test against India in Nagpur, on Saturday . Shanaka was found to have breached Article 2.2.9 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, and also received three demerit points. The incident took place in the 50th over of India's innings and Shanaka was caught on camera picking up on an area near the seam of the ball.

श्रीलंका के तेज गेंदबाज दसुन शनाका भारत के खिलाफ दूसरे टेस्ट मैच के दूसरे दिन गेंद के साथ छेड़छाड़ को लेकर विवादों में आ गए. यह मामला 50वें ओवर का है जब कैमरों में वे गेंद के धागे (सीम) को काटते हुए पकड़े गए. गेंदबाज ने आईसीसी के मैच रेफरी डेविड बून के समक्ष स्वीकार किया कि उन्होंने गेंद के साथ छेड़छाड़ की कोशिश की.आईसीसी की प्रेस विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार शनाका पर आईसीसी की आचार संहिता के उल्लंघन को लेकर मैच फीस का 75 प्रतिशत जुर्माना लगाया गया है.
