He was one of the thousands of Participants that went to the Festival, he was very pleased about the positivity that the Festival of Peace brings, and the opportunities to the youth to learn, experience, and use the knowledge that they gained in their personal lives. It also promotes Tourism, not only in Tangier but in every part of Morocco and Globally. Traveling brings unity, lessons, and many more. Traveling to different countries gives an insight into what the foreign places are like. You will get to learn about their cultures, traditions, languages, beliefs, and more. Through that respecting different perspective will be possible and conflicts will be lessened or even avoided.

Travelers, “The Ambassadors of Peace” Organizer

The Festival was very successful, and it was all because of the efforts and brilliance of the Organizer, Moroccan Association of Ibn Battuta with its Honorary President, Mr. Mohamed Dekkak. The Association was founded in the year of 2015 in the Beautiful city of Morocco, “Tangier”. It is a Non-Profit Organization, and The World’s first Association dedicated to Ibn Battuta, and his great accomplishments and contributions to the Society in the 14th century.

Ibn Battutah, “The Traveler of Islam”

The Greatest Muslim Traveling Scholar, Abu Abdullah Mohammad Bin Abdullah Al Lawati Al Tanji Ibn Battuta was born on the date of February 24, 1304. He came from a family of Legal Scholars, that’s why at a young age, he is used into reading and writing, in other words, He is a seeker of Knowledge, and his curiosity triggers the traveler inside him. He started traveling at the age of 20, his first quest is to go to Mecca, as it was the entire Muslims wish at that time, but not all are capable to travel, as it was very far in Morocco, and traveling is expensive. Ibn Battuta invented the writing-traveling, it means that wherever he goes he document anything he encounters. His travel lasts for 3 decades; he is the only traveler that is able to visit all the Muslim land in Middle-Ages. After his adventure, he went back to his homeland, and then live there again being a judge, assigned by the Sultan.
