A snake catcher had a close call when trying to capture an eastern brown snake in Twin Waters, Queensland, on November 19.

This video shows the venomous snake being grabbed from a deck and struggles in the catcher’s hand.

Stuart McKenzie, a snake catcher who operates on the Sunshine Coast, said the reptile did not open its mouth but the incident was a definitely "a heart in mouth moment.
