In a major disappointment to the Indian team in the 1st test match at Kolkata, Lankans managed to take the wicket of Cheteshwar Pujara all thanks to the bowling of Gamage who managed to get past the defenses of the Indian batsman. India’s famed batting order will face another stiff test on Day 3 of the first Test at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens on Friday. The home team was rocked by Sri Lankan pacer Suranga Lakmal on a rain-hit first day after Virat Kohli lost the toss and India were asked to bat first. Only 11.5 overs were possible on Thursday but on a seaming deck, Lakmal bowled the right length to leave a telling mark on the Indian top order. Kohli and KL Rahul made ducks as Lakmal’s three wickets for no runs left the Lankans with an extra spring in their step.
