All over the world, and particularly in the US, labels, scenes, nights and new artists are thriving – what’s interesting now is not gauging their health but examining their huge variety. Foundation Channel, a label run out of Portland and Detroit by Doug Surreal (aka Modi Bardo) and Satta Don Dada, is case in point: a label that digs deep into roots’n’dub origins with a healthy hip hop and jungle flavour for good measure.
