At least two people were killed, national news agency Bernama reported, and thousands of others were affected by serious flooding in Penang state, Malaysia, on November 4 and 5.
Thousands more were also affected in Kedah province, Bernama also reported.
The army was reportedly deployed after a 15-hour downpour led to extreme flooding. Penang’s capital, Georgetown, was reportedly inundated with brown floodwater.
