Met Office weather reporter Alex Deakin has given a spooky, headless bulletin to mark Halloween, during which he reported that “blood rain” will sweep across the UK.

Deakin has form in delivering quirky forecasts, marking Valentine’s Day 2017 with a bulletin that included the name of 14 love songs.
