This 3D-printed concrete bridge is being celebrated as the first of its kind.

Located in the village of Gemert in the Netherlands, the bridge has 800 layers of concrete, which took about three months total to print. The process is more environmentally friendly, because it uses less cement, a material with a high carbon footprint.

The 26-foot bridge will support hundred of bikers daily. It was printed by Eindhoven University of Technology, which has even more ambitious plans for future 3D-printed structures.
