Two opinion polls in the past two days has given the BJP a big edge over all its rivals in the Gujarat assembly elections 2017. A report by the IB gives BJP the clear edge in Gujarat. It says that the BJP would better its performance this year when compared to the 2012 elections. The IB says that the BJP is likely to win in the range of 125 to 134 seats. The IB also says that the BJP is likely to poll between 52 to 53 per cent of the votes this year. During the last elections, the BJP had polled 48 per cent of the votes. The IB says that there were some minor hiccups for the party, but overall the mood is positive in favour of the BJP.
