An explosion in Kiev has killed the bodyguard of a Ukrainian MP, while injuring him and two others. Officials are calling it an assassination attempt. The lawmaker was reportedly leaving a TV station in the Ukrainian capital, when a motorbike blew up nearby.
Ihor Mosiychuk, a member of the opposition Radical party and has been hospitalised, but did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
In recent years, Kiev has seen a number of attacks on high-profile politicians and journalists. Ukrainian authorities have mostly blamed the Russian secret services for plotting them.
No-one has so far said they were behind the blast, but police investigations are underway.
