Google investigating reports of screenburn in new $800 phone

SAN FRANCISCO — Technology giant Google is investigating reports of screenburn issues with its latest smartphone.

Android Central editor Alex Dobie reported how a test Google Pixel 2 XL he was sent suffered from screen burn after 7 days of use.

Screen-burn usually happens after several years of use. Others have reportedly told of similar issues with the device.

A mobile analyst told Reuters, that if the company finds a problem with the device, it may need to halt production of it.
