Being built near the Arctic Circle, the facility will take advantage of nearby wind and hydroelectric power. It's expected to consume roughly 1,000 MV of power.

The facility's arctic location allows for open-air cooling, cutting the power budget by 60 percent. American data centers consume almost 2 percent of all electrical power, but this Arctic facility could be a model for the future.
