At least 39 were killed and 45 others wounded in a mosque attack in Kabul, capital of Afghanistan on Friday, the Interior Ministry said.

A suicide bomber detonated his suicide jacket at a Shiite mosque in the capital, Kabul.

The ministry noted that the number of casualties may rise as several injured people remained in critical condition.
