Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday announced Rs 25,000 each for families whose shacks were charred in a fire in New Delhi a day ago. Around 80 shacks were gutted in a fire in the Batla House area on Tuesday afternoon. Kejriwal visited the area on Wednesday and promised the compensation for reconstruction of their homes.
