The focus with this video is Yosemite valley camping. The ideal situation is to get reservations to camp in North Pines, Upper Pines or Lower Pines campgrounds. That is not an easy task due to the reservation format. But, there is additional lodging available at Curry Village, Yosemite Lodge, the Ahwahnee Hotel, Housekeeping Cabins, or at Camp 4 (the walk-in campground). If you dont mind staying in Yosemite, but not in the valley, you can check out Wowona on the south entrance to the valley, or Tuloumne Meadows area (which is much colder at night). Bpth of these campgrounds also require reservations during the peak season.\r

Yosemite offers the perfect setting for a fun family adventure. The combination of 3000 foot granite walls that surround you, along with a beautiful river that snakes through the valley, the trails that provide safe hiking, and the falls that seem to go on forever make this a very special place. Be sure to bring your bicycles to take in the miles of bike paths that connect every facet of the 7 mile long by 1 mile wide valley floor. \r

Or, if biking and hiking is not your thing, enjoy the shuttle service that goes all day long, stopping at major stops every 9-10 minutes during the summer months. Our family tradition is to go for an evening ride over to the Village to get an ice cream every night. What family traditions will you establish on your visit to Yosemite National Park?
