- This starts out with horses that tore down a fence and got into the hay room, I talk about horses getting into things, horses being nosey and licking humans for salt. This will make some people happy, I GET NIPPED BY A PONY WHILE FILMING.\r
\r
I then try and talk about pinning of ears and the crazy things people want to attach to it. Horses pin ears, they kick, they bite, they run, it is all Normal horse behavior that people want to assign some hidden emotional meaning to it. Horses are horses and that is all they know how to be. Understanding them, learning the lessons they teach and NOT taking it personal will make you a better person and a better horseman. Some time you need to ignore ear pinning, sometime you need to correct it and sometime you may need to just be aware that it is happening. It a horse pins his ears and nothing else happens then it meant nothing, if a horse pins his ears and then bites you then the ears meant something. NO book, no magic, no secret formula, just experience and TIME with horses, watching, learning, being around them, it all comes back to time. YOU know that thing that most horse people just dont have!!!
