Vegetable Biryani Recipe in Electric Rice Cooker
Ingredients
Mix Vegetables - 200 gm , Basmati Rice - 3 cups
Onion - 3 , Tomato - 1
Ginger Garlic paste - 2 tsp
Green Chillies - 2
Chilli powder - 1 tsp , Mint & Coriander leaves - few
Oil or Ghee - 3 tsp , salt - as needed
Fennel seeds or powder - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds or powder - 1 tsp
Cinnamon, Bay leaves , pepper, cardomon, cloves - few
Lemon - half,
Curd or Yoghurt - 2 tsp
Soak Basmati Rice in water for 30 minutes
Add Oil or Ghee to hot pan followed by whole spices
Add Fennel seeds or powder now
Add cut green chillies followed by chopped onions
Add Salt followed by Ginger Garlic paste
Add Chopped Tomato and mix well once onion turns light brown
Add chopped vegetables such as carrot, Beans and potatoes
Allow it to cook for a minute
Add Red Chilli Powder and mix well
Leave it to cook for 5 minutes in medium flame
Add few Mint leaves, Curd or Yoghurt and mix well
Add the soaked Basmati Rice and mix well, fry for 2 minutes in low flame or till it becomes dry
Add the mix to Electric Rice Cooker pot
Add 4 cups of water for 3 cups of rice, squeeze half lemon and mix it slightly
Add Green peas now(if you like ) before closing the lid
Allow it to cook for 10 minutes and keep the lid closed for 5 more minutes
Add few chopped coriander leaves now !
Mix it slightly and Tasty Vegetable Biryani is now ready !
