Two Saudi Guards were shot dead and three others injured on saturday morning when a man drove up to the gate of the royal palace in Jeddah and began shooting, the Interior ministry said in a statement.

സൗദിയിലെ അല്‍സലാം കൊട്ടാരത്തിന് സമീപം നടന്ന വെടിവെപ്പില്‍ രണ്ട് സുരക്ഷാ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര്‍ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടു. കൊട്ടാരത്തിന്‍റെ പടിഞ്ഞാറന്‍ ഗേറ്റിലേക്ക് നുഴഞ്ഞുകയറാന്‍ ശ്രമിച്ച അക്രമിയെ സുരക്ഷാ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര്‍ വെടിവെച്ചുകൊന്നു. 28കാരനായ സൌദി സ്വദേശി മാന്‍സോര്‍ അല്‍ അമ്രിയാണ് വെടിവെപ്പ് നടത്തിയതെന്ന് ആഭ്യന്തരമന്ത്രാലയം സ്ഥിതീകരിച്ചു.
