Timelapse video captured the Harvest Moon rising in Scituate, Massachusetts, on October 5.

The autumn moon, also known as the Harvest Moon, is the first full moon after the autumnal equinox.

This was the first time in a decade the October full moon was visible, according to news reports. Harvest moons are rare in October as they typically materialize in September, and only 18 Harvest moons are set to take place between 1970 and 2050.
