American hospital ship USNS Comfort arrived in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on October 3, to assist as the U.S. island recovered from the devastating impact of Hurricane Maria.

The US Navy ship has full hospital services on board including four X-ray machines, one CAT scan unit and a pharmacy, according to the Department of Defense.
