After nine years in prison for a Las Vegas robbery, O.J. Simpson is free. The former NFL star left prison shortly after midnight local time, according to the Nevada Department of Corrections. Simpson, 70, was granted parole at a hearing in July. and was eligible for release on Oct. 1. "While we respect the Nevada Parole Board's decision to release Simpson, it's still difficult for us knowing he will be a free man again," the Father of one of Simpson's victims said. "He's going to focus on kids, friends, his family and golf. Maybe not the first day or second, but he is going to go out." his longtime friend Tom Scotto said.
