Killer whales joined surfers at the Lofoten Masters semi-finals surfing competition in the Lofoten Islands, Norway, on September 23.
Event organizers and spectators can be seen gathering at Unstad Beach to watch the penultimate day of surfing competition when two whales appeared in the contest area. The surfers in the water can be seen making a hasty exit.
One commentator can be heard saying, “It looks like the whales have entered the contest.” He added, “We have two killer whales in the contest area now…I wonder how the judges are scoring that.” Credit: Lofoten Masters via Storyful
