PRINCESS CELESTIA is a alicorn pony royalty ruler of the land of Equestria alongside her sister Princess Luna. She is one of the main charers of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. In addition to her responsibility of raising the sun, she is also the mentor of Twilight Sparkle, whom she often addressed as my faithful student. Her cutie mark is a sun, because she is able to control the sun and the daytime. \r
Princess Celestia and Princess Luna took power after overthrowing Discord. One thousand years before the shows setting, Luna transformed into Nightmare Moon due to her jealousy of Celestia; Celestia was forced to imprison her in to moon and took responsibility for lowering the moon.\r

In spite of her high position of authority and general goddess-like status, Princess Celestia is friendly and fairly down-to-earth, identifying with her subjects on the same level at times, much to their surprise\r
