How to reverse around a corner (to the left) ..\r
\r
Reversing around a corner is one of the UK prical driving test manoeuvres that you might have to carry out. There are different ways to do the reverse around a corner. In this video we will give you some great driving test tips and show you how reverse around a corner precisely using the left hand mirror and back window. There is another way of doing the reverse around a corner using the back side window, but in some cars its impossible to see the kerb through it.\r
\r
By moving the left hand mirror down (move it back up once finished) you will get a good view of the kerb. Be careful not to just stare at the mirror as its VERY IMPORTANT TO OBSERVE AROUND CONSTANTLY for other road users. Stop if anyone approaches you from any side, especially looking out for pedestrians and cyclists. Make sure that youre constantly checking over your left and right shoulder and ahead.\r
\r
In the mirror, if the gap between the kerb and the car starts to widen - steer left. If the gap narrows - steer right.\r
\r
Once youre round the bend and you can see the kerb in the rear window and youre parallel with the kerb in the mirror, straighten your wheels. Drive slowly as you look around. Drive back slowly roughly three car lengths until your driving examiner tells you to stop. \r
\r
Once finished, make sure that your left hand door mirror is adjusted back how it should be for driving.\r
