A group of American tourists was riding a boat as a 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck Mexico Tuesday. The canal is a popular tourist attraction, and it's usually calm. Then the quake struck and the sudden waves nearly rocked them out of their boat. "It got pretty violent, people were freaking out, people were scared because no one knew what was going on," Lauren Smith told Inside Edition. She says she's lucky to be alive and back home in Los Angeles after seeing the devastation first-hand.
