The short story “The Brahman, tiger and monkey” or Pandit aur baagh originated in India, and is a fable. The story is a warning against ing impatiently, deceptively, and in a short-tempered fashion. Behaving in these ways is what doomed the tiger at the end of the story. The story also warns against ing “too kindly,” as the Brahman did. His gullibility and trusting nature almost got him killed. At the end, it is best to be witty and clever, while still patient and good, like the Monkey. He represents a good, yet intelligent charer, and evades the wrath of the tiger, while simultaneously saving the Brahman. Do listen, enjoy and share this Kilkariyan story with Karan Chachu.\r
