8 year old figure skater Shyly Cherub placed 2nd at Club Figure Skating Championships - a tiny 0.12 points behind 1st and a healthy 2.17 ahead of 3rd. She also collected a surprise extra award and possibly her favourite figure skating prize so far.\r

Yes she was the youngest but Im all in favour of combing age groups. Being older can be an advantage, but not nearly as much as training a zillion hours. The rare girls the Cherub and most skaters really struggle against are the ones who train more hours per day than she does in a week.\r
