I didn't want to have to bake pancakes after I cooked them on the griddle and they were too thick anyway. Instead,after scooping batter onto griddle, I added a little bit of jam pushing down with back of spoon to nestle it firmly into batter and then used 1/2 scoop to cover the jam. Then cooked as usual for pancakes.
