Ola is an Indian online transportation network company. Ola was founded by Bhavish Aggarwal and Ankit Bhati as an online cab aggregator in Mumbai, but is now based in Bangalore. As of September new, Ola was valued at $5 billion.\r

Ola provides different types of cab service ranging from economic to luxury travel. The cabs are reserved through a mobile app. This cab service supports both cash and cashless payment options with Ola money. It claims to clock an average of more than 150,000 bookings per day and commands 60 percent of the market share in India.\r

Bhavish Aggarwal began career with Microsoft Research, where he worked for two years and was able to file two patents and publish three papers in International Journals. He left his job in August new and moved to Mumbai. In September new, he co-founded Olacabs from his home Ludhiana. He has received his bachelors degree in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Bombay, in 2008.\r
