A video has emerged from South Africa of a snake catcher getting more than he bargained for when a three-metre python started to constrict his legs.

In the clip, which was filmed in Limpopo Province on Thursday (September 14), the huge wild snake wraps itself around the snake catcher's legs as he removes it from a property and begins to constrict him.

As the snake crushes his legs together, the snake catcher begins to lose his balance and another man has to come to his rescue and carefully unwrap the python from his limbs.
