Trump and Congress agree on Harvey aid plan

Relief is on the way for those affected by Hurricane Harvey. The house just passed a bill that would delegate $7.85M to Harvey aid while also extending the debt ceiling. It's all part of a three-month debt limit increase and a three-month extension of government funding to the Harvey aid package. Both sides have every intention of avoiding default in December and look forward to working together on the many issues before us. The first installment in Harvey aid is to handle the immediate emergency needs and replenish Federal Emergency Management Agency reserves in advance of Hurricane Irma
