After composing the music of The Simpsons for 27 years... Alf Clausen has been fired by Fox. According to Variety, Clausen received a call from The Simpsons producer Richard Sakai, who informed him that the reason of his dismissal, was that the show was looking for
"a different kind of music." It is worth clarifying that the iconic opening melody of The Simpsons will remain the same, since it was composed by Danny Elfman.
